Who gives a little noodle shop 5 stars? Man, I do! This little hole in the wall serves the best Japanese noodle soups you can find! I love popping in here when it's cold outside. Beware, there can be a long wait and it's tiny so there's really no place to wait. Really important - they don't use MSG!!! Most noodle shops pour the junk in without regard to their customers' health - Rai Rai cares about you! Update - did the larger spot, though prices have gone up. Still great. Ask for the kimchi that's not on the menu - it'll clear you out - you won't be disappointed.

An excellent Ramen Bar that makes some excellent bowls that have great flavor. I ordered the Wonton Ramen and it was on a cold day after walking across the Brooklyn Bridge so it warmed me right up. They have great gyoza for appetizer and there are a few others that very refreshing, but not too much. You are definitely going to want to come hungry here because the portions of ramen are massive. The service here is great and waitresses are very kind. They are attentive and check on you often. Overall I think this is one of the better places to get Ramen in Manhattan that hasn’t been apart of the fad and trend of Ramen Bars. Being around for nearly 20 years the restaurant is obviously doing something and has been ahead of the fad/trend.
